>>There's always Battle Zone near Oak Park mall, but I never feel comfortable when I go in there. <<

The Battle Zone by Toys R' Us? Last time I was down there it was closed, but that was about a year ago.

It may be closed now and I wasn't aware. Like I said, the guys were jerks. I was going to the BZ in Raytown before it closed a few years ago. I didn't like the guy working there either, but it was the closest store I knew of at the time. If one location shut down it's likely the other did also. Sorry if I gave bad info.

The Battlezone in Olathe near the AMC Studio 30 has also been closed for over a year now, and good riddance. That place was the quintessential example of a store that was embarrassing and uncomfortable to visit: the stock was disorganized, there were always a bunch of unsupervised kids whose parents had apparently dumped them there, and worst of all, the employees were invariably in back, playing a game, and would glare at customers for having the gall to interrupt them. Even when I worked across the street, I opted to patronize Table Top and 31st Century instead.
