UPDATE 8/11/2009: The adventure MINI 1-1 is a 2 round adventure. Preference will be given to those that can play the entire adventure. While this is the only beginner adventure on the "official" schedule, we are looking at options to try and run other beginner (or new to LFR) adventures. We shall accommodate as many players as possible with the combination of DMs and tables we have available. Email Don or I if you are interested only in the morning or evening.
UPDATE 8/10/2009: While the warhorn signup is not full, word from different folks and the store owner is that there will be lots of walk ins! So if you want to be sure to get a seat, please sign up at the warhorn link.
ALSO: Beginners welcome! 4E is easy to learn. I've added a file with many 4E/LFR legal characters under the "Files" link on the left for some concepts. I will have some of these printed out as well.

A friend that previous organized game days is having a "5th anniversary game day" and would like to invite folks on this list to come out.

All the details can be found HERE but I will summarize:

Adventures will be Living Forgotten Realms (4e). Character gen, new players should arrive punctually at @10:00 as needed. (previously this said 9:30 but the mall isn't open until 10:00)
This is a good venue to meet other gamers, even if you don't want to play 4E regularly. Come early or try to show up during the break if you just want to mingle.
You must pre-register on Warhorn if you want to be assured a seat. We will try to add tables if there is an overwhelming response. RSVPing here is will *NOT* automatically guarantee you any seats.

The September Meetup of the SLC Dungeons & Dragons Meetup

With some finagling and managing the orignal planned venue won't be available. So, we will be meeting at Purple Dragon Games once again.

THE AGENDA:

10am - Meet and Greet
10:Whenever - Discussion
10:after that - Gaming!

If you are planning on running a game, please post the game system (i.e., D&D 4th Edition, Call of Cthulhu, etc.,) and how many players you can handle (1 to many).

If you are offering a choice, let us know the choices.

Donations are always welcome and I will have a prize for a drawing. No peeking!

We can organize ourselves, and perhaps host a 2 or 3 sessions of DnD, depending on the amount of people coming. I am hoping for 1 DM for every 4 PCs. I Hope to see you

hour 1: meet each other, introduce ourselves, lay session and group ground rules (such as hygiene: you will need it!)

Hour 2-11: since we're a Dungeons & Dragons Meetup group, we might as well celebrate our hobby by playing! This would be an excellent chance for us to perhaps organize ourselves into games, and let the good times roll.

Hour 12: Reminisce on good times, plan next Meetup time and place, and bid each other a fond farewell for now.
