The heroes of Keep on the Shadowfell and Thunderspire Labyrinth have soaked up the pleasures of Fallcrest for too long and have fallen into complacency and boredom. A merchant caravan needs guards to make the long passage south along the King's Road to the capital city of Tessemere. What riches and splendors await adventurers brave enough to make the long journey? What dangers....

The campaign is full, but please feel free to email Andrew with any questions.

LFR Module: An Inside Job (MYRE 1-2)
DM: DiceWrangler
For LFR characters of levels 4-7

The worst of the "devil" plague averted, thanks to the aid of a group of adventurers, normalcy begins to return to the dwarven capital of Eartheart (East Rift) -- until a royal guard is caught stealing from the palace and is revealed to be a doppleganger!

NOTE: This is an original "My Realms" adventure and sequel to a "Dagger in the Dark" (not required to play). Drow and Dwarf characters are recommended but not required.

The search for a missing paladin takes the PCs deep into the heart of The Demon Wastes.

Since the end of The Last War, the Emerald Claw has spread it's fingers to gain more followers for the Blood of Vol. This insiduous cult is spreading across frontiers and civilized communities are in danger. The cult's death squads target isolated settlements for "cleansing" - the folk of the frontier given the choice of joining the Emerald Claw or accepting the salvation of death.

As the Emerald Claw's power has grown, the Silver Flame has risen to fight against it. A few months before, the Silver Flame sent a team deep across the Demon Wastes to strike at the cult's hidden heart - an ancient temple known as the Pillars of Night. This group was led by the paladin Jaryn, a noble warrior and veteran of countless campaigns during The Last War.

He and his compatriots have not been seen since.

This event is the first of a series of planned DM Workshops and is focused on crafting combat encounters. Expect interactive discussions on what makes a combat encounter fun -- and not fun -- along with some hands-on practice. There will be a special emphasis on MyRealms adventures to encourage more people to write and DM their own LFR adventures.

Potential syllabus (just points to cover, not a rigid structure):

* Purpose of the encounter?
* Intended difficulty, XP budgets and (monster/trap) level ranges
* Encounter templates and "purchasing" monsters (and traps)
* Terrain, Hazards and Traps
* Adjusting monster levels and powers
* "Tweaking" the encounter with details, surprises and phases
* Playtesting the encounter

If you are interested in this workshop but cannot attend due to conflicts please RSVP "No" with an suggestion as to when you could attend. I wanted to run this event before the DMG2 GameDay since it will give everyone a chance to try out their skillz by crafting -- and testing -- their own encounters against "live" players.

The characters learn a hard lesson. The Shadowfell is not a place in which you let your guard down. Two of the heroes have fallen and one is to be resurrected with the help of the Church of Erathis (for whom they still have favor for returning their stolen artifact)... but will the price be as cheap as they expect.... or will there be strings attached?

The party has returned from the Shadowfell after defeating The Dread Emperor. The Dread Emperor was killed... but was he..... destroyed? As the heroes learned, things killed in the Shadowfell have a nasty way of not staying dead. The skull lord Meshif eluded the party while in the Shadowfell, but he was up to something. The question is... what?

Now is the time for the heroes to relax a little from their harrowing journey. However, they will soon learn the cost of being heroes comes at a price. As they have grown in skill and power, they have caught the eye of powerful figures who need their aid (or do they just need pawns in their power games?)

LFR Module: The Fate of Camp 15 (CORE 1-13)
DM: Linda Weygant
For LFR Characters Level 1-4

Your travels have brought you to the pearl-trading city of Ankhapur, near the Lake of Steam. You have been asked to visit a nearby outpost and pick up a shipment of pearls. It seems like easy money. Unfortunately, something has killed off most of the divers and nearly shut down the operation. Now you must discover the source of this camp’s troubles before you share its fate. A Living Forgotten Realms adventure set near the Lake of Steam for characters levels 1-4.

Please note that we will be using a random generator for RSVPs. If you'd like to come, please RSVP. You will be automatically placed on the waiting list. If there are fewer than 6 players who RSVP, all players will get a spot. If there are more than 6 players who RSVP, we will determine attendance via a random generator. The final attendance will be posted no later than noon (or so) on Sept 10. This should give people enough time to RSVP as well as enough time to plan for attendance.

We have instituted this random generation policy due to people not being able to get a spot for games if they are not camped in front of their computer.

"You cannot cheat her, Mage, she will claim her due -- when it is due!", proclaimed Syspheria with a huff as she slammed the arcane-looking hourglass onto the cluttered alchemy table.

"How dare you threaten me, witch, I know not how you entered my laboratory but I know how you will leave -- in a dust pan!"

The ancient-looking human did not pause or even look up at the intruder and continued to delicately pour the simmering yellow contents of the fragile glass beaker into a polished brass cauldron.

A tense, almost perfect stillness smothered the cramped, acrid-smelling room like tar. Not the slightest movement, not even a shallow breath, broke the illusion of stopped time. One pair of eyes focused intently on the creation of the potion that has prolonged his life for the last three centuries while another pair flitted nervously between the meticulous alchemist and the tiny grains of . . . sand? filling the bottom-half of the mysterious artifact.

"It is done!", he proudly announced and quickly sealed the cauldron with a slam.

"So it is, my job is done here as well and my mistress will be pleased."

"Are you still here? Well, no matter, I will suffer no further intrusions." A twisted wand suddenly appeared in a wizened hand and aimed menacingly at the grim Shadar-Kai smugly stroking her long, single braid of onyx hair.

The last grain fell and impacted as if with a soft thud, exactly like the sound of a frail body slumping to the ground.

Characters start at level 2 and are limited to races and classes in the PHB (1) with exceptions on a case-by-case basis; interesting, flawed and team-oriented characters are given more slack. Role-playing and good tactics are rewarded, power-gaming and meta-gaming are discouraged. Regular attendance is expected.
