A plague strikes the dwarven capital of Eartheart (East Rift) prompting authorities to hire a band of adventurers to venture deep into the Underchasm to retrieve a known cure from the mysterious Myconids. The path to the mushroom people's colony will take them perilessly close to an active Drow enclave so what better guide to avoid the deadly dark elves than an expatriate Drow?

The characters learn a hard lesson. The Shadowfell is not a place in which you let your guard down. Two of the heroes have fallen and one is to be resurrected with the help of the Church of Erathis (for whom they still have favor for returning their stolen artifact)... but will the price be as cheap as they expect.... or will there be strings attached?

The party has returned from the Shadowfell after defeating The Dread Emperor. The Dread Emperor was killed... but was he..... destroyed? As the heroes learned, things killed in the Shadowfell have a nasty way of not staying dead. The skull lord Meshif eluded the party while in the Shadowfell, but he was up to something. The question is... what?

Now is the time for the heroes to relax a little from their harrowing journey. However, they will soon learn the cost of being heroes comes at a price. As they have grown in skill and power, they have caught the eye of powerful figures who need their aid (or do they just need pawns in their power games?)

LFR: Lost in the Fog

DM: Linda
For characters level 1-4

WATE 1-5 Waterdeep Regional Scenario by Timothy Bailey

As a deep fog blankets the Crown of the North, a fish gifts the adventurers with the chance to do a good deed. Returning lost property seems like an easy task. A Living Forgotten Realms adventure set in Waterdeep for characters levels 1-4.

Please note that we will be using a random generator for RSVPs. If you'd like to come, please RSVP. You will be automatically placed on the waiting list. If there are fewer than 6 players who RSVP, all players will get a spot. If there are more than 6 players who RSVP, we will determine attendance via a random generator. The final attendance will be posted no later than noon (or so) on August 20. This should give people enough time to RSVP as well as enough time to plan for attendance.

We have instituted this random generation policy due to people not being able to get a spot for games if they are not camped in front of their computer.

"You cannot cheat her, Mage, she will claim her due -- when it is due!", proclaimed Syspheria with a huff as she slammed the arcane-looking hourglass onto the cluttered alchemy table.

"How dare you threaten me, witch, I know not how you entered my laboratory but I know how you will leave -- in a dust pan!"

The ancient-looking human did not pause or even look up at the intruder and continued to delicately pour the simmering yellow contents of the fragile glass beaker into a polished brass cauldron.

A tense, almost perfect stillness smothered the cramped, acrid-smelling room like tar. Not the slightest movement, not even a shallow breath, broke the illusion of stopped time. One pair of eyes focused intently on the creation of the potion that has prolonged his life for the last three centuries while another pair flitted nervously between the meticulous alchemist and the tiny grains of . . . sand? filling the bottom-half of the mysterious artifact.

"It is done!", he proudly announced and quickly sealed the cauldron with a slam.

"So it is, my job is done here as well and my mistress will be pleased."

"Are you still here? Well, no matter, I will suffer no further intrusions." A twisted wand suddenly appeared in a wizened hand and aimed menacingly at the grim Shadar-Kai smugly stroking her long, single braid of onyx hair.

The last grain fell and impacted as if with a soft thud, exactly like the sound of a frail body slumping to the ground.

Characters start at level 2 and are limited to races and classes in the PHB (1) with exceptions on a case-by-case basis; interesting, flawed and team-oriented characters are given more slack. Role-playing and good tactics are rewarded, power-gaming and meta-gaming are discouraged. Regular attendance is expected.

The world has never been a safe place. Bastions of civilization populate a dark, menacing world—islands of order and reason exist in a land otherwise overrun by dark cults, vile monsters, creatures from the dark edges of the imagination, and worse. As deadly as the world is on a normal day, something has begun to stir on the fringes of the civilized Elsir Vale. Formerly the site of an attack by an army known as the Red Hand, the Vale has known several years of peace since brave adventurers stormed into the teeth of the approaching Hand and sent them scurrying back into the darkness. But the peace of Elsir Vale—and specifically, the town of Brindol, heart of the former conflict with the Red Hand—has been shattered. The vague shadow of unease the locals have been experiencing lately has crystallized in the form of an attack on the town itself. Now Brindol finds itself once more in need of brave heroes willing to come to the aid of their citizens.

Join us after a hard day's work of fighting Orcs to unwind in a local pub by loosening your armor, kicking off your boots and bragging about your exploits. Stay a while and have a meal fit for a Halfling and a pint or two of fine Dwarven Ale.

We will migrating to The Pumphouse in Longmont just after the the games at Stonebridge Games. Even if you were not involved in those games, come on by, everyone is welcome! No books, no minis, no dice. Just hanging out, some food, maybe some beer. . .

The heroes of Keep on the Shadowfell and Thunderspire Labyrinth have soaked up the pleasures of Fallcrest for too long and have fallen into complacency and boredom. A merchant caravan needs guards to make the long passage south along the King's Road to the capital city of Tessemere. What riches and splendors await adventurers brave enough to make the long journey? What dangers....

The campaign is full, but please feel free to email Andrew with any questions.

Next Thursday, the 20th, 5:30 pm at Gamer's Guild or a private home, I'm going to run a game for three people who have never played D&D or any other tabletop game. If anyone in this meetup is or knows someone who would like to make a character and play in this game, they are more than welcome to. It could be a one-shot adventure, or might turn into a campaign for anyone who enjoys the game enough to play it again.

First level characters, made on site using my copy of the character builder. All rules explained to everyone before and during play.

Fun first. Fire second. Safety third.
