The two of us are looking forward to our first Seattle D&D meetup! We are new D&D 3.5 players, coming a bit early to roll up the characters proper. We have good character concepts (traps rogue and stealth ranger) and an interesting group concept if anyone is interested and we can locate a DM: party of four to six stealthy types - rangers, rogues, etc. - a kind of fantasy Black Ops team. Not married to the idea but might be fun if there is interest out there. :)

Hey Dave, My 11-y.o. daughter enjoys playing in our gaming groups. She's played 4e and a couple of homebrew rulesets. I'm really hoping to be able to get up there for the meetup, but I probably won't be able to be there long enough to play.

I'm bringing my daughter up to the event. She just got her first D&D book. Should be fun. Anyone have any suggestions for what to prepare?

We had a great group of players (thanks Lark, Nick, Andrew, Sarah and Sean. And thanks Zack for DMing!) and, despite our struggles to coalesce as a team, we all survived. The teamwork issue was all about the game mechanics and learning our skills, rather than attitude. Everyone was easygoing and fun to play with.

My daughters and I had a great time.
    •  4.0 is great, I'd buy it but I'm broke :(

Was lots of fun and we got to meet some great folks! The only thing I wish is that we had a little more socialization with those not in our immediate games, because we were hoping to meet more people in the area. But overall it was a great success and a fun time!
    •  I was only able to make the 1:PM meetup (not the evening session), but unfortunately the tables were all full, partially due to a last-minute emergency cancellation of a DM. Might I suggest that a list be posted with DMs and what they will be running, and people wanting to participate could sign up for that DM. There would be a separate Stand-By list on the same page in case of overflow and so forth. This might lead to less driving and baby-sitter-hiring for no game. Thanks.
