Hey everyone! If you didn't see my earlier post, I'm looking for a group that me and my wife can join. However, on the off chance we don't, I am starting one myself, though I have never DM'd before. As the title implies, I will be allowing mature themes, so it's an anything goes game. Also, we have a small child, so games will have to be during the day on weekends, or at night at our home. Either way, we need a few good players, and maybe someone experienced as a DM to help me. So, I open the floor to all responders!

Heya Seth! I'd definitely be interested in playing with you guys If you'd like to start a game. I work Mondays through Fridays 8:00 to 5:00 and Saturdays 8:00 to 2:00. I guess if what you had in mind were weekend games then I'd be available on Saturdays after 2pm and anytime on Sundays. I have a bunch of the D and D books as well as several Eberron books including some pre-made adventures for budding DMs! I figured I'd offer these up to help get us started and help you get comfortable with DM'ing. I, myself, don't have much play experience but I'm looking forward to gaming and learning! I've mainly just been reading the books to fuel my imagination. ^.^;

If you'd like to meet up before the next meeting on Monday the 21st please lemme know! Otherwise we can meet then and talk about what you had in mind. I live in the Honolulu area but I've got no problems driving anywhere else to game. Just really looking forward to putting all this material to use with nice people. :)

I am definetly looking to start a game from level 1. This would be the best way for my wife and I to learn... plus a good refresher for any would be DMs out there. Are any of you fluent enough in the rule books to be a proficient and not crash the game DM? I know I am no because I cant even spell proficient.. or is that correct??? Ah hell....... Anyway.. i am very interested in starting a character and transporting my mind in to it....and into the Forgotten Relms. Looks like we have 4... 5 if my wife is allowed......

I am ready to meet this Saturday and perhaps at least create a character. I dont know if I should wait till the Version 4 comes out.. or go ahead and buy the books for 3.5. What do you guys think?

Hit me up..

Ian

Alright, sounds like we have enough people now, and everyone is welcome to give it a shot. I'm running a Forgotten Realms campaign, so any other books aren't really required, but bring them if you want. I'll see if Saturday at 3:30PM is good. We'll probably meet at our home in Ewa Beach. If that's good for you, I'll e-mail directions. And thanks for responding!

I have the 3.5 books if you need to look through them Ian. I'd think that unless we're going to be staying with 3.5 for awhile it wouldn't be worth you going and buying them at this point given that version 4 is less than 2 months away. 0_0;

One other thing, I will be using 3.5, since those are the books I already have. I see no reason to relearn the new system when we already know the current version. And I still need an RSVP from ya Ian, if you and your wife still wanna come.

For fledgling DM?s a great place to find modules is the Wizard of the Coast web site in their download section. It has them listed by level. I have been gamming since the 80?s so if you need any help just email me and I?ll help as I can.
