With the decision to reform the party; the battle mage Gaelian, the local hero Arto Kross, the north man cleric Lander, the escaped prisoner Kilurt, a local ranger named Anduin, a sorcerer named Kristopher, and a traveling healer from the north named Helga decided to storm the tower above the ant hill. Shocked to find the tower occupied by these strange red skinned inflicted creatures the small army surged forward only to be checked by a lone humanoid/ant cross bred creature. Overpowering the minds of the weaker willed warriors the entity known as T?kreel commanded; Arto, Kilurt, and Gaelian then using their bodies he turned them against the fellowship. Fighting to a standstill the few whom minds were still intact fled leaving Lander dead and Gaelian a prisoner. Kilurt was bound by friends and Arto magically compelled to sleep. The survivors fled to relative safety of the close by camp at the entrance to the Ant hill. However, the group was soon contacted through the mind manipulated Kilurt; the master hive mind offered to exchange the infected Arto for the resilient Gaelian. The lone members quickly agreed to hand over the iconic Arto, also known as the hero of Stonewall Keep to the disembodied voice flowing through Kilurt?s gruff vocals. With the return of the absent minded battle mage the much smaller and strained friends returned to Brokenwagonwheelford to lick their wounds. Succumbing to a nightmarish sleep the remaining adventurers lay down with heavy laden souls. They could hear the children below in the taproom of the Stone Gem cry themselves to sleep after receiving the tragic news of the death of their savior Arto.

For ten days they mourned until during one night the tavern was awoken by a mental scream echoing through out their sleepy minds. Most awoke; those who slept heavily were soon awoken by a physical scream of a dying soul. The taproom and main sleeping area of the refuge laden Stone Gem soon became busy as the survivors arose to the disturbance from the second story. The refugees huddled together on the stage, protected by the remaining town guards a few brave souls looked too lighting the dark tap room with the infrequent candles spread about. The Rested fellowship composed of Gaelian, Anduin, and a female traveler from a far eastern realm named Daidoj Hechiko searched the upper story of the tavern to find four of the militia men incapacitated and bleeding upon the floor. A desperate search found that many of the heroes boarded themselves with the sick and infirm behind closed rooms for protection of the weakened and young. Finding the top balcony door wide open and allowing snow to billow inside the frantic searchers secured the door and headed downstairs to check the area. The ranger sped ahead fearing the safety of the group in the tap room, followed closely by the strange female whom bounding down the stairs could feel the hairs on the back of her neck stand on end. Anduin from the tap room called forth an all clear as his fears were unrealized, however as Daidoj approached she was surprised to see a pale small female child peek her head around the corner of the kitchen. The child?s hair hung loose, seeming to flow on an unfelt breeze; hiding her face as she climbed crab like from the kitchens ceiling to drop crouched in front of Daidoj. Soon a battle of wills ensued, Daidoj was found wanting and succumbed to the domination of the evil little girl. However coming to her rescue the Ranger Anduin detected the threat and applied pressure using his archery skills. With a roar Kilurt came stumbling down the stairs beside Gaelian only to see the girl as an innocent child. Standing confused he was not sure what to do until he saw the small child rip unnatural claws across the chest of the ranger sending him sprawling into the nearby wall. With bolts of energy and a hearty charge from the adventurers the creature soon turned into a wispy cloud and blended into the darkness of the night. They searched the area only to find spit. Minutes passed bye. The group finally spotted the girl feeding upon an adult in the huddled mass of refugees. The battle engaged and the child was forced into mist once again. She soon fled to the chimney. Thinking to head her off many of the adventures raced to the roof seeking the obscure mist in the darken sky to no avail. Perplexed the friends knew not what to do.

The Fallendship spent the remainder of the night searching for the devil child identified as a local refugee named Emily. Emily was ill around the same time as Lander and was identified as such by both Kaled and Helga as comatose in the same manner as Lander. Having healed Lander they failed to minister to the young female in an adjacent room. Even great heroes laps in judgment when it comes to their own selfish awareness. It is said that truly great heroes look toward the needs of the weak not the fame brought on by the beasts they slay in some lonely dungeon. With the past failure to rescue the kidnapped townsfolk or the forgetful administration to the young Emily a cloud of doubt hangs over the besieged refugees held up inside the Stone Gem Tavern. Some still speak in high regards for the lost supplies brought to the town, however many more are in doubt to their survivability in the hands of this small group. Thinking of searching the surroundings ruins of the burned out town the small group were accosted by an unnaturally large group of wolves. Thinking to fight their way past the wolves the group battled at the rear door of the tavern. Thinking to get the jump on the wolves the elf Gaelian headed out the top exit and across the roof toward the rear. Loosing his balance he fell two stories to the ground. Gaelian was separated from his friends with them not knowing his location. He soon succumbed to the wolf pack as the others were forced back into the inn with a few wolf breaching their defenses. The battle continued on the inside and the group was victorious. After the battle they searched the tavern again on the suggestion of Kaled. Soon found in the fire place was an unusual vent that allowed fresh air from below. From the crowd a local elf named Caelmer stepped forward to offer assistance. However they could not find any hidden entrance to the shaft. The dwarf decided to smash the rear wall down using his prized hammer. The group looked upon a deep shaft leading to the depths of the Underdark.

Soon Kaled, Daidjo, Darin Flint and Caelmer decided to search the unknown shaft. Darien was lowered down the 200 feet first. He soon found him self engaged alone in battle with the supernatural child. As Darien battled to a standstill the friends lowered Daidoj to the rescue. It was soon apparent that the child girl was a match for both the warriors. Soon Caelmer was joining the fight from the precarious grip of the rope as he was lowered down. The child was once again forced into mist and she fled through the holes of a stone door at the rear of the natural cavern. Waiting for Kaled the group soon adventured forth through the stone door. They encountered an ancient dwarven constructed burial chamber where a stone sarcophagus sat at the center of the room. Next to the doorway a pile of furs and rags held the fetal prone body of Emily. Daidjo with the flip of her wrist and the flash of her blade sent the Childs head rolling across the burial chamber. The stone lid of the sarcophagus slid aside and an ancient clad dwarf arose unnaturally from his grave. A parley ensued and the group was offered to succumb to his will and join his minions, they refused with a flurry of battle shouts. The battle was fought and the tide turned when the healing power of Kaled turned upon the evil of the dwarf creature. The small group was victorious once again. They lugged the two corpses to the surface where they threw the two bodies to the rays of the early dawn to watch them burn to ash and scatter on the winds. Later Kilurt returned to the crypt to claim the armor and study the sarcophagus with his friends.

During the following day Darien brought to the group?s attention the threat still opposed by the weird ant hill to the west. The loss of Arto touched the fellow soldier Darien who himself had recently gone through a spiritual change and publicly forsook all his material possessions. Darien made a vow to regain the loss Arto or send him to a restful eternal sleep. So he pleaded with Helga, Caelmer, and Kilurt for them to resolve the conflict, for he himself was afraid to commit to the job at hand. The trio bravely set out toward the lonely tower to free Arto. Fighting their way into the tower they defeated two dwarven drones inflicted with the reddish skin pigment. Climbing the stairway the adventurers collided with the strange creature TKreel. With a few minor spells of protection of the mind from Caelmer the wizard, the trio wreaked havoc on the ant like creature. They stood over the body of the strange ant as its life juices flowed down the stone steps. The sound of a sword being draw alerted the group to the presence of another. To their amazement stood Arto transformed into an antlike creature holding a massive long sword. The three friends realized that the strange weapon was of similar metal as Kilurt?s small hammer. The battle clashed on with Kilurt taking the lead, standing toe to toe with the lost Arto. But it was soon apparent that Kilurt was not a match for Arto. Helga stepped forward to magically heal the savage wounds that sprout upon the damaged body of the stout dwarf. Seeing this Arto turned his attention upon the northern healer and full pressed the woman hoping to smite the slim advantage she brought to the group of heroes. With each swipe of his sword and bite of his newly formed mandibles the once proud Arto nearly felled Helga. Helga managed to channel her healing power into her battered body to counter the creature?s savage attacks. With the support of the wizard and the ferocious strikes of the dwarf Kilurt the trio defeated Arto and sent him to the underworld. With the view of a strange creature strapped to a libratory slab the battered troupe looked at the lone ladder leading to the third story of the tower. Then stone dust fell from the ceiling as something large shifted above them, they prepared to climb forward.

Feeling the pressure of a good ass whopping Kilurt and Helga concluded that now was not the time to die and headed back toward Brokenwagonwheelford. Meeting Darien and Daidjo at the door of the lone tower they exchanged greetings and warnings of the perils ahead. Still weak as he was from the touch of the evil Emily, Darien boldly strode forward to the ladder. Caelmer complaining of the lack of mystical forces to use for any battle ahead, agreed to go forth with the duo while trusting whole heartily in his Elvencraft bow. Daidjo whom was strapped in her mithral armor was well prepared to fight what she assumed must be an Oni of evil repute in the above room. Climbing the ladder Darien poked his head up through the trap door to view seven ant infected female dwarven creatures casting a spell. To Darien's horror bolts of energy shot forth from the creature's hand to impact the Knight squarely in the head. Dazed and hurt he chooses to drop back down as Diadjo climbed up through the door; move across the room and strike one of the seven creatures with her flashing sword. Through the mist that permeated the room the eastern warrior made contact and an ant creature mystically disappeared leaving six. Darien and Caelmer soon joined the battle, occasionally slaying one of the magical images or contacting the solid form of the female ant monster. With a gout of magical burning flame the queen dropped Darien. Depleted of much magic the female ant waded into the foreigner with a quarterstaff hitting soundly a couple of times to send Diadjo spiraling to the ground. Seeing the horror Caelmer decided to dive down the trap door. Racing out the tower while slugging back an unknown potion he mystically became larger and stopped his retreat. Seeing the grayed skinned creature they freed, Caelmer made a bargain to go back up the ladder to retrieve his friends. The ambassador agreed to hold off the ant only long enough for Caelmer to retrieve his fallen comrades. Morphing in front of Caelmer to the dead Arto the ambassador used subterfuge to get close to the hive queen where as he launched a surprised attack. Hearing battle the elven wizard ran up to his fallen friends. Seeing the battle engaged between the two creatures Caelmer choose to forsake their agreed upon plan and began to launch a volley of arrows at the queen ant. The ambassador succumbed to two vicious hits and collapsed to the floor where he began to bleed out. Looking at the weakened wizard she charged, leaving Caelmer on the floor dieing.

From throughout the known realms Isaac of the Lone Tower sent forth messages to apprising adventurers, a few responded. In a lone watchtower a young beard stood watching the countryside as his duty demanded, aware of any approaching threats. A white owl swooped by leaving a wrapped package in its wake. In the dark night this dwarf, Lefur Stirmgorge viewed the message and headed the call. Following the written instructions the young beard used the portal key to transport away from the oppressive city state of Broken Bluff. In a tavern near by a young elf swilled the local brew pondering the useless tomes he had spent the last of his coin upon. Still not finding what he yearned for, he slinked into his piss poor drink when a new parchment caught his eye. Swearing to the gods for this had not been there a moment before; Corasma swiped up the message and read on. Promising rewards of knowledge the elf greedily followed the instructions and found him self spirited away. Two strangers faced off in an unfamiliar land of snow and ice, one a dwarf the other an elf. Determining there was no threat the two spotted a light through the snowy mist and trudged toward it. The two were greeted at the Stone Gem Tavern and allowed inside where they were introduced to Kilurt and Kaled. Following clues from the two letters sent from Isaac the four agreed to assault the tower once again in hopes of finding information. The new group traveled at dawn, however at mid point the group was ambushed by strange human folk inflicted with the recurring reddish skin ailment. With the loss of two ponies the four trekked ahead on foot. Upon reaching the tower the four were ambushed once again as the frost folk erupted from the snow bank near the door. A battle ensued with the new companions victorious. Breaking the door they were surprised to see a large scorpion guarding the room. At times booth the dwarves were held tight by the pinchers of the beast, yet still they were able to over cometh the creature. Heading up the tower stairs the group entered the top floor and fought two frost folk and the wizard ant creature. The two hive infected creatures soon fell and the wizard surrendered. The new friends were victorious.
