Anyone up for Middle Earth?

I know, technically this is a D&D club ...

But I'm in the mood to start up a role-playing group in Middle Earth, about a thousand years before The Lord of The Rings. I see the adventures being more like "The Hobbit", with significant events happening but not anything like the War of the Ring.

Basically I need two people who are ready to start regularly - probably monday nights at ward warehouse because that's easiest for me.

Are you actually planning to use the ICE Middle Earth RPG, or the newer LOTR game by Decipher, or just use D&D? I'm not looking to play since I'm already gaming with a Monday group, but I was just curious... I miss MERP.

I'm planning to use the ICE MERP for twwo main reasons:
- I like the "feel" of the material, like it was written for adults and it brings to life a world more similar to Tolkein's writings in "The Hobbit".
- I have all the material on PDF - a vast quantity of Out Of Print resource materials that the LOTR game doesn't have.
