In our last adventure...

Sheriff Hemlock had left our heroes in charge while he was looking for some reinforcements.

A few days after he left the heroes were approached by Bethana Corwin the halfling maid at the inn, The Rusty Dragon, in which the Heroes of Sandpoint are staying and spending much of their free time. She tells the Heroes that Ameiko the beautiful and willful daughter of one of the wealthiest families - who is also the proprietor of the Rusty Dragon, has not slept in her bed! She shares a note from Ameiko's">Ameiko's brother she found in the room - it points the adventurers toward the Glassworks building - Ameiko's">Ameiko's family?s main trade.

Early that day the heroes set off to save the innkeeper!

All at the glassworks is not well. The doors are locked, the curtains drawn, but smoke billows from the stacks. One of the adventurers notices skylights on the roof and shimmies up to get a look. What a gruesome sight he beholds! Goblins capering around pouring molten glass on murdered humans and tossing their bodies into the furnaces of the glassworks! The worst is a human form coated in glass sitting in the middle of the room.

The adventures surround the building with the best ranged fighters taking positions on the roof aiming through the skylights.

As the first few skylights are shattered and arrows and spells rain down on the completely surprised goblins four of them rush through a door screaming "master we have intruders!?

Bow shots rain from Laeal Jrein the slight female half-elf, Timowyn the tall gaunt bowman, and Trell the elven warrior. Erykan the wizards was on the roof as well casting spells through the skylights with deadly precision - a torrent of acid and fire fell on and about the goblins. The disgustingly violent and depraved scene shook Shevalya the bard to her core she spent the better part of the battle protecting the wizard Erykan, going so far as to knock him out of the way of some thrown glass the goblins were using as improvised weapons - and being wounded in the process.

Alek the shifty human and Pandrad an outspoken marshal set up improvised traps and an ambush just outside the door to the room. As several goblins tried to exit they met a quick albeit painful end.

The fight looked to be coming to a close when a half-elf entered the room with the four goblins that had gone to "tell the boss". He quickly moved through the battle, flanked Timowyn and punched him with all his strength in the kidneys. Timowyn dropped to the

*What we are doing at this months meetup*

Erik from GrandLAN will be continuing the new campaign from last month at this Meetup!

The adventurers have some tough decisions to make. They have not yet found the missing innkeeper, what is further down the side passage with the terrible monsters, where has the evil monk run off to?, how can we keep Sandpoint safe if we are in tunnels nearly a mile away?!

The long-term plan is to start the Pathfinder series from Paizo Publishing and run it all the way through (or at least until 4e comes out...maybe).

So here's the deal - if you are new to the group bring a 2nd level character (existing members bring your existing characters)...using any books you physically own (not electronic).

For new players - do a 30 point buy. I know that is kinda shy...but give it a go. I assure you the NPC and such will be using a similar process. Full HP at first level too. Go with the PHB max starting gold!

Hit Grandlan back with any questions. This is going to be great fun, hope to see you.

We will be meeting at GrandLan Gaming Center, and you'll find GrandLan at the south-end of the Keeler Building located on the south-east corner of Fountain St. & Division. There is a parking lot in the rear of the building (off Fountain St), the drive to which you'll find between the Keeler Building and the Fountain St. Church (see the photos in the Location - Location - Location Photo Album). At the far-end of the parking lot is a back door, which Erik (proprietor) said we may use. It will be easier than walking all the way around. There is a snack bar, and we may order out; bring your dice!

It was quite fun, despite the difference of opinion when it comes to the Mage Armor rule. Potatoes/Patatoes, perhaps that is the hidden charm of DnD. It is open to interpretation, and every GM can run the game the way they want to.

Looking forward to it - what are you guys going to do next!?

Who attended?

    •  I enjoyed the venue, the folks were friendly and eager to play. The sheer mass of the party was a little much and found it difficult to be effective at times. But overall I enjoyed the play and variety of personalities.
    •  As usual, Eric ran a very good game with a large group of people. Grand Lan has lots of rooms for games, and snacks and drinks as well as gaming supplies as well. Thanks for a great venue and a great game!
    •  It is always kind of slow going with so many players, however Erik does a great job of keeping things interesting and moving the action along. Keep up the good work! My only complaint is that we have to wait two months to continue the adventure >_<. I had a lot of fun, as per usual. I invited a friend, and he had a good time as well; thanks a lot everyone for the friendly, easygoing, joke-cracking environment.
