I had an awsome time. I have also gotten my wife into playing and sharing the wonders of the game.

Sorry Gary. I didn't see a post for a little while so didn't check back until now. Good point. I might run a 3.5 game but would like to learn more about how everything runs so this time around I will just be a player. 4E it is. See you tomorrow.

RPGA games are managed through warhorn.org/sacrocklin other games for the monthly meetup are posted on the messageboard Nov 21 role call. Tim has a 4th edition. If i get enough players I can run a pick or RPGA 4th edition game after I finish running my first game.

My wife and I are planning on attending this meetup for the first time. While I would prefer to play 4E and meet people on my first visit, I can run a table if necessary. I'm getting a lot of disparate information about registering for games at warhorn versus showing up with a "character concept". Any guidance in this regard?

Wow. That's alot of people. o.o; I'm probably going to need some help. I like D&D, and my friend tried to teach me everything, the problem is he had a tendency to take everything over and stop explaining. So bear with this poor noob.

What is the status of moving to a larger location?

It's whatever the DMs who show up want to run. We have 3 tables of RPGA 4E Living Forgotten Realms, but there is plenty of other space. If you want a 3.5 game, why not offer to DM one?

I am with Derek. I have almost every 3.5 book under the sun. It would be nice to use them again. Can we some guidlines beforehand from some of the DM's? Level, Alignment, core books? Would be nice to have characters made beforehand instead of spending time making them there.

I am very new to D&D v4.0, v3.5 and new subscriber to this group. I hope to attend something in the new year. I have not played since v2.0 back in the late eighties. Thanks.

    •  Thanks everyone for being so patient with a new player - i had not played d&d for 4 years and it was nice having all of you show me the ropes with this new 4.0 edition. (sorry Don for hitting you with my scorching blast)
    •  This was a great, great, did I say great Meetup. I want to think the DM's that hosted a table, Gary for the great work for the raffle, and Vicking Hobby for the prizes. I had fun at both of my tables. I saw a lot of smiles and laughting which makes me feel good as a DM. Thank you to all my players and everyone else that came.
    •  Great meeting! Wish we had a bigger space to work in.
