Hi, new here. I was told I might be able to find some players here. I'm trying to get a game started this Sunday the 15th. I know it's short notice, but I just had someone cancel on me again and it's the 2nd time this has happened. I've supposedly got 4 players, but I'd like 6 inc ase of more dropouts. I'll be trying out some house rules (mostly crits & fumbles & backgrounds), and it will be a home-brew campaign. I've been DMing since 1979. If you are interested please email me or reply.

Is it every Sunday? And what hours?

It'll be about every other Sunday, and from 12:30 to close (5pm I believe on Sunday).

Players so far range from 20's to 40's. 3 of them I've played with for some time.

Shame it's not Saturdays, Inna and I would definitely be interested then.

I'd be interested, just need the specifics. (Time, level, what books, etc.)

Starting 12:30 this Sunday (I'm going to try to be there by noon this first game) , starting at 1st level, use any method in the PHB for character creation. I didn't think there were any expansions for 4e yet... I'm only using the PHB MM & DMG at this point.

PHB 2 comes out next week 17th with all the missing classes and races :).

Sorry, didn't make it last game. Had a lot of stuff to do. I'll try the next one, if there's still room.

The game is still going on, everyone is at 4th level now. It's worked out more like 1 to 2 times a month than every other Sunday though. I still need at least one more player, possibly two, as one of them may be moving in a couple months, and won't be making the next game. The next game will be this coming Sunday the 2nd of August.

I've got a website up now with the background generation and setting stuff at the bottom in documents, I'll be trying out the crit cards another DM I play with uses this next game instead of using my crit & fumble rules there though, as they don't seem to be giving quite the right feel I want, and seem to be confusing the players.

If you are making a character anything in the character creator goes, although I'd like to go over anything not in the PHB I or II, as I have a couple concerns with a couple powers I've seen. Expect somewhere between a half and hour to an hour of rolling a background once at the game. You can choose a background, but there are some possible benefits of rolling, I think it works out better and prefer that.
