Good afternoon everyone. I want to let you all know that our membership has 3 months left. The leadership used the meetup donations to pay the 3 month membership. I costs the meetup group an average of $12 per meetup for the 6 month membership or $15 per meetup for the 3 month membership. I and everyone else would prefer the the 6 month membership since it is cheaper.

We will continue to have a donation jar at the meetups to continue to collect money for the membership fees. This is good but we want to offer the community more.

So.....

My challenge to the community is this: If we can raise over $70 in the next 3 months, then I will take the money over the $70 and buy gift cards, and other prizes to be offered in a raffle on the 4th meetup. The amount and value of the prizes will depend on how much money as a community we can raise with donations.

To reach the minimal goal of $70 this works out to $24 per meetup. I and the other leaders want to do more.

The leaders and myself are work out somethings at this time to also do our part for reaching this goal. It is early in the planning and I can not release the details at this time. If everything goes well then I will report what we have been working on.

After each meetup I will send everyone and update on our progress.

This is a fun experiment. Lets see what we can do.

The first month of the challenge has came and went leaving us with two more months left. We had an awesome turn out and a good response to the challenge. Thank you everyone that responded to our challenge at the June 20 meetup. I recieved a total of $25.60 in donation and some other items that were donated to the meetup in other forms. I will let you in on this little secret once my plan has came to full development.

This is a first step to our large goal. Lets see what great things we can do when we work together for a common goal.

This leaves with a minimal goal of 44.40 cents. This minimal goal will only cover our meetup membership. It will not leave us with enough money to buy raffle prizes. I hope I can do more to give back to the community.

Another action packed meetup has passed us by. It was a great, great, great, meetup. Thank you everyone for playing. Thank you for all the hard work the DM's have to do to make this a successful meetup.

The Challenege: My challenege to the meetup community was to raise a minium of $70 dollars to pay for the meetup membership and web site. If the community stepped up a raised more than $70 dollars, I will use the additional money to buy raffle prizes. Last month we started out great with a total of $25.60 cents donated to the meetup.

I recieved $10 during the month and $35.00 in donation from the July Meetup. This brings the current total to $70.00. Because of the great donations and support, I have the money needed to secure a 6 months membership for this meetup. This is totally awosome.

Sooooo, any money collected at the next meetup will be used to buy raffle prizes for the community. The number of and size of prizes I raffle off will depend on the amount of money collected at the next meetup.

I want to thank everyone for donating the money need to keep our membership, web site and D&D community going. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you.
