Hello all,
Starting a 2nd edition Friday evening game, currently run a 2nd ed. campaign on Sundays, thought I'd try running a small game on Fridays evenings also.
Group Size: 4 to 6 players.
Starting Time: Anytime after 5:00 p.m., group can decide.
Stop Time: Group can decide.
Would like to run it 2 to 3 times a month.
I'll be running it at my home, so you must have transportation to and from.
I live in the south area of Sacramento, 5 minutes from downtown.
Must be over 21.

Okay a couple of things about the game:

  • 2nd Edition Rules
  • Greyhawk World/Oerth *
  • Starting 1st level characters.
  • You may use kits from other world settings.
  • I do also use some of the 2.5 stuff, such as non-weapon and weapon prof., extended level charts, specializations with spellcasters... so forth and so on.

*Gods of Greyhawk/Oerth have been changed a little, after discussing this with fellow gamers we came to the conclusion that they SUCKED when it came to anybody playing a specialty priest.
So I changed them by adding a few more spheres of influence and gave them some benefits and hindrances like some of the specialty priest in Forgotten Realms, I used the same format that is used in other accessory's, books..etc...

Sorry Larry but the Sunday game is full.
This post is just for the Friday evening game that I'm going to run.
I use the box set plus some of the accessories that where for the World of Greyhawk/Oerth.
Since I've changed some of the specialty priest stuff, I suggest take a look at what gods/goddess look interesting and I'll make a list of what their priests/priestess can do.
Alignment is open to whatever you prefer as long as it doesn't cause trouble with the group.
We don't have to start right at 5:30 either once we get a full party of players we can all agree what would be the best time to start and stop.

I'll put you down on my list, as soon as I get a few more people I'll send you a message.

I would like to get in if possible.
The group I'm currently playing in is a running 3.5 on saturdays but I would like to play 2nd.
I might have a couple of other people that would be interested to play also, our group is playing this weekend so I'll ask them then.
When are you looking to run the first game?

Hi weekend warrior,
I was looking for everyones e-mail addresses that was sent to me back in June of this year, including yours.

I thought I had saved them but I can't find them, my computer has been acting up so If you get a chance send it to me again please.

I had a couple of other people that were interested back in June, but it was for the possibility of a Saturday game that I was thinking of running.

Since this is a Friday evening game they might not be interested or able to attend, not to mention they're probably in a game already.

I'll try to get in contact with them because I did promise that if anything came up I'd let them know.

I was planning on starting the game up towards the end of this month or the beginning of November, a lot depends on everyones schedule.

Let me know once you guys meet this weekend if any of them are interested.

If you have any other questions feel free to ask, I'll try to check back here when I can.

Hi Samuel,

Two other people say that they want to play also, so there is still room.

Between the two other players one said a thief and the other was thinking of a priest I think. So it's pretty open to whatever you want to play.

Day: Friday's

Starting Time: 5:00 p.m. or 6:00 p.m. (depending on everyone's schedule)

Stopping Time: Open to what everyone agrees on.

Edited for spelling.

So far I have two people not including yourself that wants to play, so with you that makes three people.

I have sent e-mails to four other people that where interested in playing in a Sunday game that I currently run, I started it back around June of this year, it had filled up so fast with players I had to turn them away (first come come first serve), I'm waiting for a reply to see if they want to get into this game.

I want to get at least a total of four people but no more than six, once I get enough people then we can get started.

Read the previous posts in this discussion for play times.

I have no idea of what races the two other players are thinking about playing, play any race you want as long as it's in the rules, I'll even allow certain crossbreed / half-blood / half-breed races as long as you run it by me first. You can even play a one arm, one legged, deformed midget gnome with leprosy if you want.

The first session usually consists of meeting each other, creating your character and hopefully getting started in the adventure/campaign.
