Introduction

Howdy! I'm Ian, Xin's counterpart, EMT, college student, D&D fan, avid computer gamer and reader. I've played MMOs, console games, card games and miniatures, but prefer tabletop gaming above all else, especially D&D in various incarnations.

What is your favorite Fantasy Novel or Series?

No single favorite, but recently: C.S. Friedman's 'Coldfire' trilogy; R.A. Salvatore's 'War of the Spider Queen' series; Richard K. Morgan's 'Takeshi Kovacs' trilogy; David Gerrold's 'Chtorr' series; and Warren Ellis' 'Transmetropolitan' comics.

Who is your favorite Fantasy/Sci-Fi author? Why?

Most recently has been Richard K. Morgan; though the Takeshi Kovacs trilogy was started a few years back and already finished, it's a series of books that combined sci-fi, cyberpunk, hard-boiled, and military fiction; unique and very entertaining.

Who was your favorite character that you have played or are playing?

I have a long string of characters, and I got a great kick out of every one of them. Most recently are Xilik, Xen'drik tribal drow druid; Weylan d'Lyrandar, half-elf airship pilot; and Soreth Wintersky, Eladrin Star Pact Warlock (4e FTW!)

What is your favorite D&D moment?

Again, too many to just point to one. If you desire anecdotes, ask me about the Tethryn's Idiot Stone, SWAT team vs the Owlbear, Andzrel's adventures, The 'Short Bus' party, and more. You'll probably hear those stories at some point anyway... :)
