Name: Don
Location: Santa Clara (main mode of transportation is bike, keep that in mind) Email: Donniey21 [AT] gmail.com Aim/YIM: Donniey21 Looking for a D&D 4.0 group somewhere in my area. I like to roleplay, but I'd prefer a group that isn't TOO heavy on the roleplaying, I'm a fairly laidback and funny guy so i like to screw around when the mood calls for it. If you've already started playing, I'm willing to be any class to fill in any gaps in your party. I'm 17 (18 in august) and mature enough, if that's a problem. Thanks in advance. |

Experience with all D&D editions (i.e. I started with Basic D&D/1st and then went to 2nd and then 3rd and then partly 3.5), as well as other gaming mechanics like D.20's A SONG OF ICE AND FIRE, DEAD INSIDE, ARDUIN, LEGEND OF THE FIVE RINGS, TOP SECRET/S.I. STAR TREK RPG (by Fasa which is probably now out of business), D.20 MODERN, HOLLOW EARTH EXPEDITION, D.20 PULP, TSR's ALTERNITY, CLASSIC DEADLANDS and WARHAMMER FANTASY ROLEPLAY (1st and 2nd edition). I have read the rules (or partially read them) and/or played the following games 1-2 times: RUNEQUEST, SHADOWRUN, USAGI YOJIMBO, CHAMPIONS, FANTASY HERO, GURPS, TRAVELER, CALL OF CTHULHU, STAR FRONTIERS, KING ARTHUR PENDRAGON, ARS MAGICA, IRON HEROES, WORLD OF DARKNESS, STAR WARS D.20, BASIC D.20, DARK HERESY, DOGS IN THE VINEYARD, BURNING WHEEL, SPACE OPERA, GAMMA WORLD, JAMES BOND, IRON HEROES, SPIRIT OF THE CENTURY, WORLD OF DARKNESS, IN A WICKED AGE, IN NOMINE, SAVAGE WORLDS and MUNCHKIN.
I have noticed D&D doesn't lend itself to much RPGing so it depends on the person running it as well as the players. On that note, keep in mind I'm more interested in a great group of gamers and care less about the actual game being played. Interested in playing with a group that's mature and NOT mostly into hack and slash. More than roleplaying desired . .. a campaign that breathes and lives in itself, like a good novel, would be great. Big bonus if I can hang out with you outside of the game b/c that will make the actual gaming experience more enjoyable. Favored areas: exploring, true roleplaying, moral dilemmas, realms that make logical sense in the world building sense, some familiarity with History a bonus, players who can laugh and aren't uptight or rules lawyers or ego driven or selfish. Basic manners go without saying. P.S. For DMs who like it, I have DMed for many years (i.e. I started at 11 and am now 39, so can appreciate being a player at the other end of the table. Have gamed several very long campaigns ranging from ages 20-65 (yes, 65, heh). I am located in the southern peninsula; about 15 minutes north of Palo Alto. P.P.S. I am available Fridays through Sundays. I may be open to a weekday game, depending on the strength of the person running the game, as well as the dynamics of the players (i.e. I find that well established gaming groups are best b/c they're less likely to have friction. Yeah, I know, not always. Some people like to suffer. Heh). I would prefer to not have to drive more than a half hour in one direction for a weekday game. Weekend games are open to more driving. If we are talking about a weekend game, I would hope the group plays for a long time. |

Looking for a D&D game in the south bay. I'm based in San Jose, but don't mind driving a lil bit. Been away from the game since 3.0, but am happy to acquaint myself with 3.5 or 4.0. Am a fast learner. Have a couple of toddlers at home, so cannot host, unfortunately. Travel occasionally for work, but my only conflicting days are some Thursdays and also Saturdays in the fall (college football season, baby!). That's only temporary, and not every weekend :)

Location: San Jose
Transportation: yes, car Contact: send me a 'greeting' or reply here Hello, I'm a 30-something psych grad student/girl gamer looking for a game. I'm most fond of the White Wolf system, but I will play in any post-apocalyptic or 'dark' setting. I have played Deadlands, Werewolf, Dark Conspiracy, Paranoia, Heroes, 7 Seas and of course, DnD (and probably a few more I have forgotten to list.) I am willing to learn to play other systems if you're willing to be patient. I would prefer mature players, 23+, who can leave their drama at the door and just game. I am currently living in San Jose but would be willing to drive a little. Cara Edited by User 7,701,580 on Aug 5, 2008 11:24 AM |

Hi,
I'm new to the area, in Santa Clara. I'm looking for a 3.5 or 4th ed D&D game, preferably close by but I'm willing to drive a bit, if necessary. Email me at blacktie777 [at] gmail.com with info about any games that could use an experienced player. Matt |

Looking for a 4th Edition game to join. Can pretty much play any night, but would like to keep it in SF. Been gaming for about 15 years. Enjoy a good mix of role-play / plot and tactical hack 'n slash. Let me know :) Jesse |
