Looking for a game near Livermore, East Bay area. Preferably 4th Ed and hopefully a game that is light on the RPG and more playing through a map. Would like to watch a group play a few times to learn more since I have never played before and hopefully a group that could help me develop my own character when I'm ready. Willing to fill a role if one is open as well.

My girlfriend and I are looking for a GM, in the walnut creek area. We haven't played very much D&D but we understand the basics. We each already have characters but we wouldn't mind making new ones. We have a really big living room and a gaming room in our condo so we can probably meet here. We could possibly have two other people joining who are more experienced, if needed, but we definitely need a GM.

Would want to focus more on having fun and less on the role play aspect of it. We use to have a lot of fun as with us funny situations are always bound to come up. Like when we had to tie up our third player because she kept trying to pick pocket us.

I recently re-immigrated back to California after finishing some post-grad schooling in Oregon. I met a number of fellow gamers through the Portland MeetUp, so I thought I'd toss my hat into the ring and see if I could find a group here in the East Bay.

A bit about myself: I'm a 28 year old gamer who cut his teeth on AD&D 2nd Edition, various Palladium games and Abanety. After a few years of hiatus I joined a D&D 3.5 group with a few friends from school. After that group fell long the wayside I got involved with the Portland D&D MeetUp and met a great group of gamers who were involved Portland's equivalent to the Exploratorium. We played a 2 year 3.5 campaign and got started on a new 4E game. Alas, life intervened and I had to find gainful employment, so that's what brought me to Walnut Creek and left me searching for a new group of people to game with.

Ideally I'm looking for an weekday evening game that's willing to add another PC to the mix. I also have experience running games in D&D 3.5 and 4E, but prefer to play with a group long enough to know their personalities and quirks before trying to DM for them.

If you have an opening, I'd enjoy hearing from you.

Looking for: Anything interesting RPG wise, versed in D&D 3.x, white-wolf and derivatives, as well as numerous other games played over the years. Cyberpunk/Shadowrun or traveller would kick hiney! Otherwise just looking for fun and new friends.

Preference: I would prefer not to have to drive too too far from Hayward, as late nights make 880 a little on the iffy side.

I'm looking for any kind of RPG, but I'd prefer Dungeons and Dragons (of any edition), because I've got a basic understanding of DnD. Not so much for the other RPGs. But I'm always willing to learn how to play any kind of RPG. I'm fairly new, but I'm pretty much willing to try to learn anything. I live in Fremont, so I can pretty much access all of the Bay Area except the South Bay through BART, and the South Bay through VTA. It'd be wonderful if it wasn't too far, but I'm ok with anywhere as long as I can reach it. I'm really not picky about the kind of game, I'm pretty much fine with anything and willing to try anything new.
