Howdy folks,

I am looking for players interested in a 1st Edition AD&D game, that may turn into a campaign. Starting with just one module to start.

It will be in the City (North Beach area) on a T/W or R, every other week. We're looking for 2-3 more to round the group out.

It's all CLASSIC OLD SCHOOL style (I wouldn't touch 4e with a 100 foot pole, and 3.5 never did much for me, and I think 2e is just too simple, streamlined and elegant to play*), and we want to play all the classics especially Tomb of Horrors and the GDQ series.

If you're interested, send me a note on here, what day you could make, and somehow prove that you don't eat human flesh and generally have interests outside of gaming, too.

smb

* I love 2e actually, but for I think a good portion of the reason for this campaign/group is the nostalgic aspect, and the absolute awesome art/aesthetics of the original books, of which I have been collecting.

UPDATE: The game will be played on Thursday evenings 7-11:30 every other week starting soon. The wiki is just being created. We have a few players, but could use 1-2 more.

Dear smb,

I might be interested. Life is real hectic ATM with trying to find a 2nd job cause I am purchasing a house and don't want to be broke. I still run (yes I am our groups D.M.) a very sophisticated 1st ed. campaign which we have kept alive for 26 years now I am proud to say! I miss being able to play (as a Player) at times since conventions suck nowadays and I don't know any other 'good' campaigns around. Dungeon Mastering is my first love and I have read through all of the modules you are about to run. In fact one of our parties is currently on D1 after completing the Against the Giants series (with all of the modern versions and rickita raticka). Most of the classics have been completed in our careers with the exception of Tomb of Horrors and Expedition to the Barrier Peaks. Let me know if you would like to interact with me on any level concerning gaming. It is in my blood and has been my passion for most of my life. Can you believe I am not all completely 'geeked-out' either?

Glad to see that others still appreciate the work of art AD&D was....

It can never be replaced.

D.M.E.

p.s. my personal e-mail address is den4questatyahoo.com please respond to this address.

I will e-mail you.

I don't know if I posted this, but the game is beginning shortly, will run every other Thursday evening and the (in-progress) wiki is at: http://www.obsidianpo....
