Let the exploration of the Expanse begin:
By decree of King Jacob the Eld, Lord of the Spire, adventurers are needed to tame the wilds that lie to the east of the Lands of the Spire. Interested parties may apply at the Maul & Mattock Inn. The Eastern Expanse will be kicking off at our biggest event yet. The Eastern Expanse is an ambitious, open-ended sandbox campaign for D&D 4. Its been said that even the worst roleplaying game session is better than the best movie or TV show. While this may be true, it doesn’t mean that we should settle for the worst, or even mediocre game sessions. Starting on Wednesday, September 23, 2009, Chris Pullen will be running a six week GM Skills Seminar. Hosted by Games & Stuff of Glen Burnie. The class will run Wednesdays, from 6pm to 9pm. If you’ve ever run a game that you thought could have, or should have, gone better, or if you’ve never run a game, and are intimidated by the prospect, this class is for you. We’ve all run, or played in bad games. It happens, but this class will teach you the tricks to get the most from your players, your setting, and yourself, so you’ll be able to tell when a game’s going south, and you’ll know how to fix it. This week's topic: Graduation ceremony, discussion, and debrief

Adam will be running a 4th Ed. Haunted Mansion game for 4-7 12th level characters. Chris will dust off his Champions project Henchmen! and see if he’s as clever as he thinks he is. Both games will have pre-generated characters, so show up with your dice, and a smile (dice and smiles will be provided to those who forget them).

Scott has volunteered to run a Call of Cthulhu game for 6 players. Chris will also be running a pathfinder game for up to 12 players. Dylan will be running a 3.5 game for 2 players. Call of Cthulhu is a great atmosphere game based on H.P. Lovecraft's world of cosmic supernatural horror. If you haven't played it, you should come out. If you have, and you like it, you should come out too. There are only six spots open, so reserve while you can! Chris' Pathfinder game will be for up to 12, 6th-level characters. I've had a chance to sit in on a few of the brainstorming sessions for this game, and it sounds amazing. Dylan's game will concentrate on role playing. A tale of two brothers, disowned by their noble father, in their search for their place in the world. So, whatever your flavor, we got you covered. . . All characters are pre-generated, so just bring your dice and you're ready to roll.

Thanks to Ron Noel for running D&D 4th ed., which James and I know nothing about, and thanks to Ed Sloman at Games & Stuff for hosting us again. Also, as a last minute addition, Dylan will be running a 3.5 game, with pregen, level 3 characters. If these games fill up, James will be running an AD&D 2nd ed. game, probably with zombies, and I will be running a 3.5/pathfinder game.

James will be running a D&D game of some sort, and I'll be running a light-hearted Champions (Hero System) game.
