Dungeons & Dragons, Detroit and Southeast Michigan Message Board › Looking for Group Plymouth to Newport

Took a long break and want to get back into gaming. Few times a month would be ideal. Looking for sometime after work (i get out M-F 3:30p in Plymouth) and somewhere between work and home (i live in Newport).
Played 3rd and 3.5 heavily before i got sucked into World of Warcraft for 4 years. The strain of being a Guild Leader and Main Tank wore me down. I still have my 3rd/3.5 books and just picked up the 4e PHB. I am not a rules lawyer, whiner, or loot monger. Just looking to have some fun to break up the hum-drum monotany of dayshift living. I checked the location of this months Meet-up and its a bit out of my range. My prefered classes are fighter, rogue and ranger - though i havent had a chance to really read into the 4e classes (Warlock looks pretty interesting). Anyway, i think im about to start rambling. Looking forward to hooking up with some mature gamers looking for some fun. Feel free to drop me an email. Jessie |

Hey there. I'm also looking for a game in the Plymouth area. I live in Northville. Have you found a game yet. Been out of gaming for a while though so I feel like I'm just starting out.

I've been looking for a 3.5 game for months now. I live in Plymouth close to I-275. I'm interested in meeting in Canton next Saturday to work something out. I have several years' play experience in 3.5.

Hello:
Myself and a friend would be interested in getting into a new game. I live in Detroit very close to I94 and would be able to travel to a good game. I'm no rules hound either but am looking for an "even keel" that is acceptable to all. I have some of the books of DND through Wizards of the Coast and TSR both and even some AD&D books of old. I'll have a gaggle of 3.5 books soon if all goes well. Looking to game and game well. :) God bless: Glenn |

Ok. Looks like we got the date down. Anyone know where we could go to play? Was thinking the library could be a good bet as they probably have rooms to reserve. Close at 5 though so that could possibly be a problem. I am partially deaf so playing in the middle of a very loud place would be a challenge for me. We'd be generally close together so it's not like it should be a big issue any more then it would be for any of you, but I just thought to mention.
When games are played do you use miniatures? I'm new enough to not have any at the moment. |

I'd prefer to use miniatures. I have a fairly large collection in case other players need any.
So we're meeting Saturday, October 3rd, at or around 2pm at the Canton Library? |

Well I just had a rather discouraging experience. Went to RIW and there was a game going on. I would have never been able to follow anything though. 7 other games also going on as well. The noise level was pretty loud. No idea how they were able to hear anything. 2pm at the Canton Library. Sounds good. I can call them and reserve a room tomorrow if this is a go:)

Ok. Here's the deal. Canton Library has three rooms but do not take reservations. Plymouth library also has rooms but they do not take reservations either. But they are pretty close to one another if we need the option.

Just wanted to know what our group wants to do with equipment? Does characters have the standard equipment as in the 3.5 book? How many GP do we start out with? Perhaps we should decide on an amount so everyone has the same? Not at all sure how this is gone about.
