Howdy guys. New to Michigan and wanted to find a solid D&D group to join. I've played 1st, 2nd, 3.0 and 3.5 for years, and DM'd them as well (though now I prefer to play instead of run hehe). Currently I'm looking for a 3.5 based game, any setting (Eberron, FR, whatever), and around the Warren area. My friends and I have a saying, "Just say NO to 4.0!" ;)

Email me at Deoxhydroxinate@yahoo.com if your group has an open slot or would be willing to try and get a group started.

Thanks, and look forward to gaming with you soon.

~Anthony

Welcome to Michigan! Looking forward to meeting you tomorrow at Beat Cafe for our 3.5 game. I am interested in getting a weekly 3.5 game going with a fun solid crew. I have some fun stuff planned for you *mischievous smile*

Anyone else interested in joining a 3.5 game regardless of day please post in this thread.

Later,
Eric

Eric. You sir are a hilarious DM as I witnessed tonight.

So besides the regularly scheduled day of Wednesday, I'm down for anything else if that day doesn't work out with our current crew.

Deox: Too bad you missed Eric's portrayal as "Peter Puffer" the Eladrin Warlock, in the prior week's meetup 4e game. He had his high-pitched cursing down to a science....ha! Oh and he only answered to the full name - not "Peter" not "Puffer", only "Peter Puffer." Wild.

Eric: It sounds like I missed out on a cool session. Maybe another time, as we discussed previously, I can sit in as a 1-shot or something. Sounds like you guys had a good time.

BTW, if you're not sure who I am/was, I played the Dwarf Invoker (controller) the prior week, as one of your fellow adventurers.

Anyway, glad to hear the meetup went well once again. Looks like the east-side weeknight meetup thing is working out as a solid alternative to the main monthly Saturday meetup. Good to see that the meetup group is flexible enough to work in these different locations and schedules. Nice!

Did you want to hop in with the 3.5 crew or the 4.0 one?

3.5 definitely. I have taken an avid stand against 4.0

I will be hosting the group at my house instead of Beat Cafe.. I don't like the pay to play politics tongue
So far we have 6 people in the group however I would like to max it to 8 so there is room for 2 more. Group consists of: fighter, cleric/wizard, rogue, druid, wizard, and fighter/cleric.
Right now the scheduled time is at 6:30pm on Wednesday July 29th.
If you would like to join call me at 734-775-5495.
For those of you in the group my address is 24650 Oneida, Oak Park
Later- Eric
p.s. I have drinks for all. However, snackage is good.. bring some.

First off, for some crazy reason I think that address is probably going to lead us into the abyss somewhere, but I'm game, who cares.

Secondly good for you for wanting 3.5. 4.0 is for squares, like pants!

Thirdly, as Eric said, we've got a pretty solid group makeup thus far, and at this point I think that anything would be great at this point.

Fourth - Almost all the books are allowed, just run it by Eric first if there's something that you have a question with (cries himself to sleep dreaming of Abrupt Jaunt). I don't care what you say, being able to insta-teleport 10ft 6 times per day at level 1 is NOT broken. Yeah it is, who am I kidding. It's so full of cheese, I'm getting the aroma of cheddar from my keyboard as I type.

Also - what kind of snackie cakes? Chips? Potato Salad? Troglodyte intestines? I also wouldn't be opposed to throwing that $5 I would have spent at Beat Cafe towards a pizza or whatever.
