Where are the local hobby stores?

I live in Berkley, and it looks like the last store out of my regular stops closed down - Blue Dragon. Others I've used to check out are gone: Riders Oakland Mall and Old Guard Hobby. I'm settling for buying my books and miniatures from Barnes & Noble. They at least have a table set up for D&D products unlike other bookstores.

Any recommendations for other local stores? I sort of hear names over the boards but I'd be interested in finding out exactly where they all are so I can find something close.

It's getting kind of bleak. I just started looking to get back in the game (first post!), and discovered BD was out of business. You can probably order anything you want from Time Travelers in Berkly (most comic stores will dabble in roleplay books if your willing to wait and pay retail).

Sadly, the only place I know right now that carries is Mikes Comics out in New Baltimor. http://mikescomicsand...

any on else have suggestions?

I am not in the Berkley area, but RIW on 5 mile in Livonia is pretty good. I really like Pandemonium in Garden City (on Middlebelt just south of Ford Rd). I just started playing 4th edition at Rider's in Taylor (Northline and Pardee). They have a decent selection as well.

I think Pandemonium is my closest option, being about 30 minutes away.

I've never really had a good experience at Time Travelers and I live right down the street. Plus the times I've gone in there, they had little to no selection. It's been a while, so maybe I'll give them another chance.

I drove down to Pandemonium this Friday since I had the day off. I hadn't been there in a few years, so I was pleasantly surprised at all they had. They are about 35 minutes away from me, so it will probably become my regular hobby store now. Got my paints and a few miniatures to work on.

Guild of Blades in Madison Heights isn't too far. On the east side of John R, south of 12 Mile. Kind of hard to see, but they did try putting up big signs. 28736 John R Road, Madison Heights, MI 48071. 248 430 4980.
