2007 January Meeting

  • Cris ran us through a short adventure with pregen characters to help us learn game mechanics
  • We welcomed new members and passers by -- thanks to them for dropping in and we hope you come back next time
  • The game gave us all some good laughs

NOTE FROM MGMT:

Anyone can propose an event. If you have something you'd like to do that is open to all members of the group, let me know (contacting me directly through the "contact organizer" link is probably best -- but you can just post a note in a message board thread, but not this one) and I'll put it up on the calendar. It's best to do so at least two weeks in advance, but as some members only check the site once a month you really should plan four weeks out. Thanks for your support!

2007 March Meeting

  • Chris and I played D&D mini's, and Brad put up a couple of rare mini's as prizes, which we enjoyed.
  • Just Chris and I, pretty much this month, but we discussed playing short, rules intensive encounters at the next meeting.
  • I realized that while we've had a meeting in February, I neglected to post minutes - and I still failed to take any pictures.

2007 April-June Meetings

  • Attendance is down, probably because it's summer, but we're still meeting and at least a few people show up to every meeting.
  • We've been socializing and discussing rules, and this last meeting we discussed alignment in some detail.
  • I continue to fail to take pictures.
  • I'm considering adding some sort of prize or incentive to come to meetings, but haven't figured out a sustainable fundraising model yet

2007 December Meeting

I keep forgetting to update this, but we've been meeting on schedule. This last meeting, in December, we met and played Three Dragon Ante. Two of the members got their pick of d20's from the samples I received from Q-Workshop. It was fun.

2008 July Meeting

We played a game in the Pathfinder Rise of the Runelords setting

* We had a full table plus a couple who were just visiting or who couldn't get in
* Almost everyone survived - I killed the cleric
* The whole thing seems to be going pretty well with playing at the meetings

Next time: Someone else is going to DM a game...

2008 August Meeting

Best meeting so far...

* Fourteen people came, playing at two tables
* Two games were run, hosted by Robert and Brent
* One game was 3.5e and one was 4e
* We started keeping records for and XP-based, RPG-themed rewards program

Next time: We'll be playing some more games and moving to WMU's Bernhard Center to play. If you want to run or play in a game, announce and discuss on the message boards!
