Hi all,

So, after much delay, we are finally going to have our first meetup. Outside the Barnes and Noble bookstore in Ventura (on Telephone Road, close to the Main Street/101 South onramp).

We can introduce ourselves and see what people are looking for in our group. The get-together might last about an hour, maybe less. It all depends on how much talking goes on.

    I'm still excited about that PVP idea as it were. bringing another group of players to play npc bad guys? GENIOUS!!!

    We're meeting outside. There are heavy iron tables and chairs just outside of the coffee shop. I figure it will be warm enough at 10am on an August morning. If not, we can always migrate inside. Can't wait to meet everyone! Tina

      “ the meet-up was a good first start, with a lot of the local D&D'ers getting the chance to meet one and other and discuss the 'trade'.. It'd be nice to see future meet-ups to include basic agenda items such as opportunities to find new players / GMs, reviews of certain game systems, a listing or distribution of Optional / House rules in which GMs and players can see how other games might operate, and so forth.. ”

      “ It was terrific to meet some of the other members. We all sat around and talked of the many, many aspects of D&D. Versions, publishers, tactics, play styles, settings, classes, alignments. It was great. The weather was perfect and we sat outside and everyone got along really well. We'll be doing this again, soon. ”
