Game #1 - 1099 A.D. - A Story of the Knights of St. Lazarus
ORE (One Roll Engine/Reign
5 Players
GM - Dale Horstman
A young Templar arrives at the city gates of holy Jerusalem, wounded and nearly dead. Within his fevered pleas is a call for help from a caravan of pilgrims brutally attacked by Saracens. Only a handful of the Templar chaperones have survived to protect them. They’ve sought shelter in the fallen guardpost of Malarrash. They are in desperate need of rescue. The Knights from the Order of St. Lazarus are called to assist! The Order of St. Lazarus gathers Knights from other orders who have been stricken with the affliction of Leprosy. These Knights fight with an eerie courage, most having the desire to die while doing God’s work rather than succumbing to their disease. All told they are a fearsome enemy not only because of their courage, but because of something odder. Every Knight who has been stricken with Leprosy has developed extraordinary powers. Some call these gifts Sorcery. But the knights of St. Lazarus know them to be gifts bestowed by God to assist in fighting His enemies! Five of the order’s bravest Knights, accompanied by 15 lesser men-at-arms, set out to heed this desperate call for help. They ride out into the swirling sands at dusk – on to Malarrash!
Included in this alternate history are Female Knights, Magic (of course), and the beginnings of steam-powered technologies in the Arab world.
Game #2 - Entrance Exam for the Resistance
D6 Story-Based Game
3-5 Players
GM - Susan Jane C. Ankeney
Revolution is brewing and you are needed to fulfill the dreams of the common people. Your application for admittance to the inner workings of the Locust’s Resistance Movement has finally been answered. For it is prophetically said: Locusts shall feast on the blood of the evil Water Caste! In order to move up the ranks from rabble-rowers to resistance operatives you must pass a test. The assignment is to infiltrate the evil Water Caste City and return with an item (or more just to be safe) that can only be found there. Anything else you acquire, even just information, will be for personal profit - which is good since you’re broke. It is late afternoon and a minor royal holiday will be celebrated at sunset. The real difficulty will be passing through the closely-guarded gate and into the sacrosanct city within a city…then out again within six hours when the gate closes. Be ready to talk your way out of trouble. Good luck!
Game #3 - The Forsberg Campaigns
D&D 3.5 (Based on the Black Company novels)
4-8 Players
GM - Walter Wrigglesworth
In those days, the Company was in service to the Lady, Mistress of the Tower, ruler of an Empire. The Company has been recruited to fight in the Forsberg Campaign, a dark time in the Empire’s history. The Circle of Eighteen, a cabal of sorcerers leading a rebellion, seeks to overthrow the Lady - an even greater sorceress than they - and topple the Empire. The Forsberg Campaign is the bloodiest phase of the war so far, with terrible sorceries and great armies unleashed by both sides. While the hard-bitten, rough-and-ready men of the Company are in the thick of the fighting, a small group of Company members have been detailed to hunt down and kill a member of the Circle, hoping to hobble the Circle’s power…
