GRPA - Monday, June 29th 6-11pm
Game #1 - The Star-like Wanderer
D20 Modern (Supernatural Horror)
3 Players
GM - Walton Weaver
Last year a video hit YouTube of aliens kidnapping a family from their two-story house that they fortified at the last minute…
It happened one night: a friend of mine, she disappeared. I called the people I could rely on. I called the Agency and they jumped right on board to help in any way possible. They knew we might be looking for a “monster” because they’re paranormal investigators, after all. We got locked and loaded and we headed into the lonely Vermont hills.
Inspired by both true events and the Whisperer in Darkness by H. P. Lovecraft.
Game #2 - Sunshine and Shadows
World of Darkness
3-4 Players
GM - Adam Breindel
Between lost jobs, troublesome exes, and a rogue whose sneak attack just doesn’t seem to work anymore, you’ve got enough problems. So when an acquaintance goes missing amidst strange signs of foul play, you wonder why the cops and newspapers don’t do their jobs and sort out what might have happened to her. Only you and your friends seem motivated to figure out just what went on. Pretty soon you suspect something dark is afoot and that a handful of local old-timers may know more than they’re letting on.
Game #3 - The Mean Streets of Redmond
Shadowrun 4th Ed.
4-8 Players
GM - Robert Mackensen
Alright, omae, this is the real deal. I know life out here in the barrens ain’t exactly a barrel of laughs, but we got a chance now. You know that raggedy-hooped go-gang, the Crimson Crush? Y’know, the ones with all the bikes and guns, but not two brain cells to rub together? Well, they rolled a smash-and-trash into Halloweener territory a couple of days ago, and I guess they really tore ‘em up. This is our chance. The ‘weeners do a big trade in bliss, eX, deepweed, even novacoke. But they’re weak right now, so now’s our time to strike. We gotta get our chummers together and hit ‘em now. Tonight or tomorrow, at the latest. We can take their territory, and then we can be sittin’ pretty at the top o’ that heap, rolling in the nuyen. We may have to get some help, and we know that going and fragging their drek up in the barrens won’t be easy. So gear up, and let’s go. Are you ready?
This game is a low-power Shadowrun adventure, where the players take on the role of a group of gangers in Seattle’s worst district. The gang is trying to carve out a territory and a business for themselves by the simple expedient of smashing another gang’s operation down and taking over their assets. Players under 13, or players incapable of a (fairly lax) standard of maturity, should use discretion New players are, as always, welcome.
Game #4 - Hot Potato
Paranoia XP
3-6 Players
GM - Jason Myer
Clearance Red Troubleshooters I have found some trouble for you to shoot. HA-HA-HA.
Your mission if you choose to accept it (failure to accept is treason and punishable by summary execution) is to recover an Old Reckoning Device discovered by treasonous explorers in the Wastes. The Secret Society/Commie/Mutant scum are planning to sell the device they found to another group of Seditious Commie/Mutant/Traitors (all Secret Society members, Commies and unregistered Mutants are considered traitors). They will undoubtably use the device to somehow destroy Alpa Complex and the beloved Computer. All traitors are to be captured, executed, immolated, drowned, taunted, incinerated or likewise dealt with and the device brought safely to the appointed R&D facility for analysis. Failure to accomplish this mission will be considered treason and punishable by…you know!
Have a nice Day! Seriously, you are ordered to have a nice day!
This PARANOIA adventure is for 6 players max. Characters are provided for your enjoyment and refreshment. Please bring whatever props you wish. Laser pistols (with appropriate clearance-level barrels) are greatly encouraged! Failure to Have Fun in this game is considered unlikely and is also treason…punishable by death…
