Hi all:

I have scheduled a Meet-Up for Sunday, May 24, 2009.

For the May Meet-Up, Matthew (and perhaps other DMs depending on the number of players who R.S.V.P.) will be re-running the 4th Edition May World-Wide D&D Game Day adventure for those who could not attend Game Day festivities the prior day.

Once further details become available, I will post them here:

From the WoTC webite, here's a description of the adventure:

Journey Through the Silver Caves – A kobold wyrmpriest has stolen an ancient book of prophecy from the people of Albura, a fortress on the borderlands. The kobold has a dark plan for the book – and only you can stop him in time! An adventure for 5 pregenerated 5th-level characters.

The WoTC website also provides a link to the five pregenerated characters for the adventure.

Please note the R.S.V.P. deadline: Weds. May 20, 2009 (8:00 p.m.). The deadline is a few days earlier than usual to ensure that an appropriate number of DMs are scheduled to be on-hand.

If any members are interested in running an adventure for the June Meet-Up, please let me know. As always, DMs are welcome to run any edition that they are comfortable with (e.g., AD&D, 2nd Edition, 3.5, or 4th Edition) or another fantasy game altogether (e.g., Hackmaster, Conan, Savage Worlds).

    Looks like my Memorial Day plans got rained out; I might actually be able to stop by.

    • “ Fantastic meet up! Met a LOT of players and made a lot of new friends! Folks were very friendly and the organizer Matt welcomed me and all the others with open arms. I don't think I have ever experienced the feeling of so much comradery from people who were complete strangers only 10 min beforehand. The setting was great, encounters were well laid out. DM was very experienced and it was a joy to play again after a very long absence from the game. The new 4th Ed rules and play practice was a LOT to pick up all at once, but that will get easier with more sessions. ”
    • “ Was a decent primer for 4th ed. Thought that the encounter levels were a little bit difficult for new players. The gm's were helpfull, and enthusiastic about being there. ”
    • “ We were able to run at least one table of games with a few people that showed up later after the games had started. It went well enough just was surprized by the attendance. Quite a few registered yes but dident make it. All in all it was still fun and several new players to 4E showed up and started to learn the ropes. I feel pretty positive about the event. ”
