Hi all,

I've scheduled a Meet-Up for Sunday, June 28, 2009 at Battleforge Games at 12:15 p.m.

Tentatively, I am planning on running a 4E one-shot for 1st level characters. Interested players should bring their dice, a 1st level character, and any rule books necessary to run their characters (e.g., Players Handbook).

That said, anyone else interested in running a game of D&D (any edition) is more than welcome to do so. (I'm happy to step aside and let someone else run a game if there ends up just being ebough RSVPs for one game.) So if you'd like to run something, please e-mail me.

Sorry for the late notice and irregular scheduling this month. Work has been keeping me busy!

Hope to see you there.

Christian

I had a great time! That was one of the best homebrew adventures I have played and I thought Christian did an excellent job as DM. Thanks for organizing the meet-up.

Thanks for organizing the game. Those giant jumping spiders weren't as scary as they looked. Okay, they were as scary as they looked, but we pulled it off.

I might show up tomorrow to meet people. I have not played 4.0 yet and not really to take the leap... BUT I am interesting in meeting some of the gamers here in Austin finally.

Based on the other character choices I think I will run a Dragonborn fighter on Sunday.

With 4 "yes" in addition to me and 11 "maybe" so far, there may be far more interested players than a single DM (me!) can accomodate at the Meet-Up. Is anyone else interested in running a game in the event that more than one DM is needed? If so, contact me by e-mail. Thanks.

    •  Many thanks to those who came and played in the 4E game that I ran. It was a good group, and I enjoyed DMing a lot. It got a little close there towards the end, but I think that the party had the spiders and their ettercap handlers on the ropes. I hope to see y'all at future Meet-Ups. (There also were some folks at the Meet-Up who played a 1E game; so, if anyone is looking for good old-fashioned AD&D, Arthur--see the RSVP list--may be looking for other players. I thought he said he might be looking to recruit anyway.)

A grand time was had by all. Two warlords in a party is fun stuff. And sucks to giant spiders.
    •  Great group this week! Great timing for a meet up by Christian! We had enough people to run 2 tables. The 4ED table was a bit crowded, but that was cool. Christian seemed to be able to handle everything very well there. Another table for 1ED/2ED was run and Arthur was a great DM there. We had some new faces and that is always a plus! I think RPG gaming is making a come back.
