Hi all,

I've scheduled a Meet-Up for Sunday, July 12, 2009 at Battleforge Games at 12:15 p.m.

My apologies for the short notice and for the June and July Meet-Ups being scheduled so close together. Unfortunately, due to schedule constraints this month, July 12 turned out to be the best available option.

This Meet-Up, Matthew has kindly volunteered to run a 4E one-shot adventure for 3rd-level characters. So those interested in playing should bring a 3rd-level character, dice, and any rule books necesary to run your character. Each character may start with 2,560 gold pieces worth of magic items. Please post in the comments or your R.S.V.P. response what type of character you'll be bringing/playing (i.e., race, class)

Also, if anyone else is interested in running a game of D&D (any edition) at this or a future Meet-Up, please let me know via e-mail or comment. We are always looking for new DMs and sometimes have more than enough players for multiple games, so volunteers are most welcome.

Hope to see you there.

Christian

Sorry. Had a F2F come up that they needed me for (I have the only high level cleric).

I might be down for the 1st/2nd ed. game....should we follow the same character creation rules as the 4ed game?

Todd, looking forward to seeing what you're doing with your 1e/2e mash-up.

Not sure what 4e character I'll be bringing, but I'll have my laptop and the DDI char builder, so I can build anything on the fly. Maybe I'll reprise my dragonborn paladin of Bahamut.

Looking forward to meeting new and regular players alike and running a nice fun 4E adventure for everyone. Dont feel you have to RSVP your character, just a suggestion so others might know what people are planning to play. The gp worth of magic items is equiv to 1x 2nd level magic items and 1x a 3rd and 1x a 4th level item and gold equal to a 2nd level item (which is standard starting magic items for 3rd level characters). I'll try to have some pre-gens in case someone needs a char last minute.

    •  Many thanks to Matthew for planning and running a fun 4E one-shot that pitted our characters against some formidable goblins. I really enjoyed it. Also, I noticed that the 1E/2E group's ranks seem to be expanding; they seemed to be having a pretty good time as well.
    •  It was fun getting to play 1e again.

Fantastic times. Many a goblin slain. Thanks to Matthew for a great run through. I'm sad we didn't get to face your dragon (sort of). The first edition lads seemed animated, and I witnessed the largest DM screen I have ever lain eyes upon! Next month I may have to sit in at the first edition table and re-hone my THAC0 skills!
    •  Good turn out! Matt did a great job of running a short 4E game! Lot's of good reviews there! Players had fun! Same for my 1E game! Overall a great gaming day!
    •  It was very enjoyable to roll dice again.
