We have received a lot of good feedback on our current schedule, so we'll continue to have a Social Hour followed by One Shot gaming, so long as we have volunteers to run games. The Schedule: 1pm - 2pm: Informal social hour. Everyone is welcome esp people new to or just curious about role-playing games. Talking and getting to know players and DMs, finding a campaign to join, discussing new products and rules, learning about RPG's/D&D. 2pm-6pm: Break out the dice and play some D&D! If you'd like to run an adventure at the meetup please post on the Message Boards so we can add the details to this announcement. Thanks and see you there, The Organizers of the Austin D&D Meetup Group

Based on commentary both online and offline, and the fact that I can no longer attend Sunday meetups, I am offering this Saturday meetup for those that prefer a Saturday meeting time. Also, note that I am making arrangements to meet at Dragon's Lair for the June Saturday meeting, as Battleforge Games is packed on the 2nd and 4th weekends of the month due to Warhammer tournaments. The Schedule: 1pm - 2pm: Informal social hour. Everyone is welcome esp people new to or just curious about role-playing games. Dragon's Lair (and a number of other local game stores) will be hosting World Wide D&D Game Day this year. Come play a 4E adventure, try out the new rules and have some fun doing it! Last year, there were free minis for the participants, and I wouldn't be surprised if you might get some good stuff just for going. Be careful, as this meetup starts at 11am instead of our usual 1pm time slot.

After the success of lasts month's meetup format (great discussion with over 20 gamers followed up by two separate adventures) I'm very excited to continue this trend. The schedule: 1pm - 2pm: Informal social hour. Everyone is welcome esp people new to or just curious about role-playing games. Talking and getting to know players and DMs, finding a campaign to join, discussing new products and rules, learning about RPG's/D&D. 2pm raffle draw / prize give away! Yay, I ask what gamer worthy of the title can resist loot? 2pm-6pm: Play some D&D. Jason, aka Flynn, will be returning and running another great adventure for us. "The Monastery of the Four Winds" High in the rugged foothills of the Daggerback Mountains, the Monastery of the Four Winds lies abandoned and in decay, destroyed a decade ago by a vengeful diabolist. Father Roland, a old and venerable cleric of the God of Strength, has recruited a small band of adventurers to seek out the ruins and explore within for a magic fountain, which purportedly holds the secret to immortality and eternal youth. Scenario: A 3rd-level D&D v3.5 scenario for 4-7 players. Details and Discussion are here If you'd like to run an adventure at the meetup please contact njharman@knoggin.com so we can get the details posted. Thanks and see you there, Norman Harman
