After the success of lasts month's meetup format (great discussion with over 20 gamers followed up by two separate adventures) I'm very excited to continue this trend.

The schedule:

1pm - 2pm: Informal social hour. Everyone is welcome esp people new to or just curious about role-playing games. Talking and getting to know players and DMs, finding a campaign to join, discussing new products and rules, learning about RPG's/D&D.

2pm raffle draw / prize give away! Yay, I ask what gamer worthy of the title can resist loot?

2pm-6pm: Play some D&D. Jason, aka Flynn, will be returning and running another great adventure for us.

"The Monastery of the Four Winds"

High in the rugged foothills of the Daggerback Mountains, the Monastery of the Four Winds lies abandoned and in decay, destroyed a decade ago by a vengeful diabolist. Father Roland, a old and venerable cleric of the God of Strength, has recruited a small band of adventurers to seek out the ruins and explore within for a magic fountain, which purportedly holds the secret to immortality and eternal youth.

Scenario: A 3rd-level D&D v3.5 scenario for 4-7 players.

This is the first of a new format for D&D Meetups. To inaugurate this momentous occasion and to encourage people who haven't ever attended or attended but didn't have a good time to give the meetup up another try we are giving away a prize by raffle.

The schedule this Saturday is:

This meetup, we will have a small report from GenCon and of course talk about the biggest news, the upcoming Dungeons & Dragons 4th edition.

Also, Protocon is the following weekend. So, this would be great time/place meet people from Austin area that are going and find/offer ride/room sharing.

"Escape From Slavers' Isle"

The storm was fierce. For three days, your ship battled against the winds and the waves. The crew worked tirelessly, never giving up hope. However, after three days fighting against the storm, she couldn't take it any more. Driven against the reef, the hull struck against the unyielding coral, and the ship was scuttled. Many drowned in the wind-tossed seas under the dim light of the waning moon, but you were among the few that survived to make it ashore, only to collapse in the wet sands of this unknown haven.

When you woke up, however, you were dismayed to discover that your situation had simply gotten worse, for now you have found yourself trapped in a cage, as your ship had the misfortune to sink off the rocky shore of Slavers' Isle...

A low-level D&D v3.5 scenario for 4-7 players.

Characters:
1) You may bring your own 1st-level character, created under the following guidelines: Standard v3.5 PHB races, classes, feats and spells(you only need the PHB at the table); Stats are created using 32 Point Buy method. You will start off with no equipment, but such will be provided within the adventure itself.
2) The DM will also provide pregenerated characters.

This isn't a meeting we are having specifically. Rather it is a day of RPG extrangaza occuring at game shops everywhere.
