Hi. I've been playing D&D in its various incarnations for over 20 years at this point. Of late, I've had trouble fitting it into my schedule. But I'm hoping to change that.
In terms of setting, I've always enjoyed Forgotten Realms. There's lots of variety, and its always been well supported in terms of products.
I was around ten (best I can recall), when a friend's older brother suggested we play AD&D. I've been in love with the game ever since.
"I'm looking for a campaign to play in. I probably could be persuaded to DM though too, if there happen to be more interested players than campaigns with openings for players."
The Meet-Up is a good way to meet other gamers in the area, and to find a regular game if you are looking for one as well. I have met folks playing just about every edition of the game through the Meet-Up. It attracts a friendly crowd, and one that is open to those new to the game too.

"Thanks much to everyone who played in my 4E one-shot. I had a very good time running it, though I was diappointed that my villainous "mage" was slain before he ever got a shot off. Must bring more monsters . . . ."
Looking For Additional 4E Player(s)
"Hi All: Some of you may know me from past Meet-Ups. I DM an ongoing 4E campaign, and, due to some player attrition, my group is looking to add one or maybe two additional players...."
"I also stopped by King's Hobby (Austin) the other day. Though most of the store's space is devoted to model railroads and other models, it had a fair amount of D&D and other RPG products. Most of the D&D items that the store had predated 4th Edition."
